Located in the heart of the city the park acts as an important habitat for California quail, a magnificent stand of Garry Oak Trees, and a number of rare wildflowers.

Spring is an especially great time for a hike in the park to see the wildflowers in full bloom in the Garry Oak meadows. The park offers several trails, all with stunning views. Here are the three separate trail accesses that will take you right into the park:

  • Trail One – It is approximately 100 metres to the summit or the observatory and can be reached from the parking lot off Denison Road.
  • Trail Two – From trail one, visitors can connect with the thirty-five-meter pathway just up from Fairfield Place.
