Commonly referred to as “Vic West,” the historic district of Victoria West is located west of the city’s central business district.
The Selkirk Trestle, two municipal bridges, and the waterways all around this diverse neighborhood make it easy to go to the heart of the city or out to the coast.

Victoria West is part of the Greater Victoria School District No. 61, which has 27 elementary schools, 10 middle schools, and 7 secondary schools nearby.

Victoria West Park and Banfield Park are two notable parks in the area, both of which provide beautiful scenery and fun recreational options.
Victoria West is a beautiful place to stay with great views of downtown, the inner harbor, and James Bay. The area gives handy access to bike lanes, pedestrian walkways, and water taxis for a quick ride into downtown.
Some of the most well-known restaurants in the area include Caffe Fantastico, Fol Epi, Boom + Batten, Lure, Spinnakers, and Fry’s Bakery.

Access to the major roads is straightforward, as the neighborhood is just a quick 10-minute drive or 15-minute travel by transit across the bridge to the downtown region.

Water Views and Green Parks

While the sea is within walking distance of many Victoria neighborhoods, parkland and water surround the Victoria West neighborhood on all sides. The charming neighborhood has views of the harbor’s boats, and the sea is always bustling with activity.
But water is not the only view you will enjoy; Victoria West is loaded with lovely green areas! This area is filled with green spaces perfect for outdoor recreation, including Victoria West Park, the smaller Raynor Park, and the vast Banfield Park.
Banfield Park is one of the most frequented parks because of its beautiful shoreline and inland pathways (such as the Galloping Goose Trail).
