Commonly referred to as “Vic West,” the historic district of Victoria West is located west of the city’s central business district.
The Selkirk Trestle, two municipal bridges, and the waterways all around this diverse neighborhood make it easy to go to the heart of the city or out to the coast.
Vic West is multi-faceted in terms of geography, socialization, economics, and age. There are hills and valleys, new and old buildings, different kinds of homes, businesses, and people.

Victoria West is part of the Greater Victoria School District No. 61. There are 3 public schools. Victoria West Elementary, Victor Brodeur Middle School and Esquimalt High School are located here.

The ocean is within walking distance in Victoria West. The charming neighborhood has views of the inner harbour, and Ogden Point.
Victoria West is home to lovely green areas! This area is filled with green parks perfect for outdoor recreation. These include Victoria West Park,  Raynor Park, and Banfield Park.
Banfield Park is one of the most frequented parks because of its access to the West Bay Walkway.
